How Does The Mitsubishi Xpander Fair Against Its Competitors?
As we know, the Mitsubishi Xpander was launched to Malaysian markets in November last year. The Xpander may bring in more competition between its rivals, the Honda BR-V and the Toyota Rush. Here’s how they stack up against each other!
When comparing prices, the Xpander has the lowest price that starts from RM 91,369, which the BR-V follows at RM 96,900, and finally the Rush with the starting price of RM 97,000.

Under the hood of the Xpander is a 1.5 litre 16-valve DOHC naturally-aspirated, variable valve timing engine that produces 104 hp at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The BR-V is equipped with a 1.5 litre 16-valve DOHC, naturally-aspirated with variable valve timing engine that produces 119 hp at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm.
However, the Rush comes with a 1.5 litre 16-valve DOHC, naturally-aspirated with dual variable valve timing that produces 104 hp at 6,000 rpm and 136 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm.

Following that, the Xpander has a top speed of 170 km/h and can reach a century sprint in 13.2 seconds, and the BR-V has a top speed of 160 km/h and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.2 seconds. The Xpander and BR-V have 4 Speed Automatic and CVT gear shifts, respectively.
Standing at the heaviest is the Rush at 1,300 kg, followed by the Xpander at 1,269 kg and the BR-V at 1,259 kg.
The Mitsubishi Xpander has the highest fuel consumption at 8.3 L/100km, followed by the BR-V at 6.4 L/100km (Internal).
