The Second-Gen INFINITI QX60 Has Arrived: Is This SUV Worth It?
Skipping the 2021 model year update, INFINITI has revealed the 2022 INFINITI QX60. The redesigned three-row SUV replaces its decade-old predecessor, arriving along with an extensive list of upgrades.
Powering the SUV is the same 3.5-litre V6 engine as before, alongside a new nine-speed automatic gearbox instead of the CVT. A front-wheel-drive layout comes as standard, with an all-wheel-drive system available for all the trims. Four variants are up for grabs: Pure, Luxe, Sensory and the new range-topping Autograph.

As standard across the lineup, the QX60 is fitted with a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery in the first and second row of seats, 12.3-inch infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and USB-based Android Auto. All variants also feature eight-way power-adjustable Zero Gravity front seats with heating and power lumbar adjustment.

Moving to the QX60 Pure, the variant is fitted with 18-inch wheels, a nine-speaker audio system, four-way drive power lumbar, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control and a backup monitor with the second and third-row seats getting air vents mounted on the headliner. Safety-wise, the variant includes automatic rear braking, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring and lane departure warning with haptic steering wheel alert.
The QX60 Luxe, on the other hand, adds on ventilated front seats, touchscreen with navigation, ProPilot Assist with Navi-link diver assists and a 360-degree parking camera. Adding to the safety features are departure prevention and traffic sign recognition. Externally, the Luxe adds on 20-inch wheels, auto-dimming mirrors as well as silver roof rails. The interior spots a silver metallic weave trim, a universal garage door opener, rear door sunshades, and a power/tilt-telescoping steering wheel with memory.
Meanwhile, the Sensory variant adds ambient lighting, open-pore ash wood trim, wireless smartphone charging, front seat massagers, and heating for the second row. Other additions include a Bose Performance Series 17-speaker sound system, advanced climate control system, four-way passenger lumbar and a motion-activated liftgate.
The range-topping Autograph comes with an extensive list of features - being the only variant with the Black Obsidian roof with black roof rails to create a unique two-tone look. Exterior features include chrome body side mouldings and under guards. Interior-wise, the variant is fitted with semi-aniline leather alongside contrast stitching, quilting and piping. The Autograph features a 10.8-inch head-up display, smart rearview mirror, and adaptive front lighting system for the interior.

Customers can opt for six premium and three standard colours, ranging from around $695 to $900, depending on the selected hue.
The new QX60 will arrive in North American dealerships by the end of 2021, and prices start from $47,875 (RM 201,937). Reservations are available and will remain open until early fall.
