The weather in our state has been unpredictable lately and Caricarz would love to share few tips on how to keep it safe while driving on wet and dampening road conditions.

As the restrictions were lifted and spotted swamp of vehicles flooding the highways again could bring us to unexpected tragedy. To stay cautious, a preparation is worth to practice nowadays.

The road conditions can be slippery when there is heavy rainfall and leads to elevated number of accident cases occurring in Malaysia.

Keep A Safe Distance

To avoid crashes or accidents with vehicles in front of you, it is best to keep a safe distance and prevent hitting the car’s bumper just in case they step on the brake pedal on a sudden act.

Likely, when they pull an emergency brake and you maintain a distance, a disaster could be prevented.

On top of that, your money is save from all these hustles!

No speeding just maintain your speed

Driving fast or speeding is extremely dangerous. However, avoid these acts or driving on the fast lane as cars from the other direction might run into puddles of water which then splashes onto your windshield.

The water spatters will cause your sight to be blurred and brings difficulty to drive with unclear sight. Although your wiper will wipe off the water, its better to drive with transparent vision.

According to PDRM, when a vehicle is speeding above 80km/h, ‘aquaplaning’ on the road could happen as you capable of losing control of your vehicles due to tyre defects after rolling on wet surfaces.

Your car could glide all over around the highway wildly which is very dangerous.

If ‘aquaplaning’ happens, relax by breathing slowly. You can try not to hit on the brakes and slowly remove your foot from the gas pedal and wait until your car to slows down so the wheels may found its senses back with the road.

Once that happens, hit on brake gently and adjust your track.

What about hazard lights?

TURN IT OFF PLEASE!

Dear readers, your vehicle’s hazard lights are only meant to be used in case of an EMERGENCY and when your vehicle is breakdown or stopped on the road. So there’s no need to turn your hazard light in times of which didn’t fall under circumstances mentioned earlier.

That’s all from us, Stay tuned with Caricarz!
