McLaren MP4/4 headlines Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.20

Heads up Gran Turismo 7 fans and players, developers Polyphony Digital have released a brand new update for the Playstation-exclusive, and it sees four new cars added plus a few other new in-game features.

Update 1.20 is headlined by the legendary title-winning McLaren MP4/4 Formula 1 race car. The iconic Honda-powered McLaren Formula 1 car dominated all but one race in 1988 where it was piloted by both Alain Prost and the late Ayrton Senna, with the latter Brazilian legend taking the driver’s title in said year with the car too.
The car has been faithfully recreated in the game sans the famed Marlboro branding, and will be available for purchase through the game’s Legend Cars section.

Also added into the Legend Cars catalogue now are the 1969 Pontiac GTO ‘The Judge’ classic American muscle car, as well as De Tomaso Mangusta ‘Christian Dior’ Edition. Whilst the former is based on a real-life car, the latter is a unique special made especially for the game following a collaboration with the famed French fashion design maison. Additionally, in-game purchases of this Dior special retro supercar includes a matching helmet and racing suit design set too.

Lastly comes the introduction of the 2016 (981) Porsche Cayman GT4. It’s now available through the game’s Brand Central section, meaning players can purchase it at any time.

Apart from the new cars, Update 1.20 sees Gran Turismo 7 receiving new layout options for Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Apart from the existing ‘Full GP’ layout, players can now experience the famed Catalan course in three more layouts, those being the MotoGP layout with the final RACC chicane omitted, a ‘National Circuit’ layout, as well as a mixed-surface ‘Rallycross’ layout as seen in Gran Turismo 6.
All these aside, Update 1.20 also sees two new ‘Menu Books’ – GT7’s unique car collector-driven side-missions – added in the Café menu too.
Weighing at about 2GB, Update 1.20 for Gran Turismo 7 is available for download now.
