Zurich Malaysia Added Peace-Of-Mind For PLUS Highway Users

Z-ProMiles Takaful, brainchild of a synergistic collaboration between Zurich Malaysia (Zurich) and PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) to provide curated takaful plans for PLUS highway customers. 

This Z-ProMiles Takaful would be offered to PLUSMiles members which will provide Inconvenience Benefits, Hotel Accommodation and Car Replacement Allowance should they encounter any issues while travelling on PLUS highway. This is on top of the standard accidental death, accidental permanent disablement and accidental hospital income benefits, said Zurich General Takaful Chief Executive Officer, Shamsul Azman.

Shamsul further said, "Z-ProMiles Takaful is made to be easily accessible and provides on-the-go protection. The highways users who are PLUSMiles members would have the ease to choose the coverage plan that best suit their travel needs and budget. He also reminder users that every life is precious and many lives are at stake on the road every day, the best thing one can do is to protect themselves and their loved ones on top of being extra careful and vigilant when travelling". 

"Zurich is also committed to alleviating challenges that road users face on a daily basis. Through our collaboration with PLUS, we are able to introduce this takaful product through a simple digital application. This helps to provide customers peace-of-mind when they travel on PLUS highway network" added Shamsul. 

Datuk Azman Ismail, Managing Director of PLUS placed their Highway users safety and comfort as the top priority and is guided their 3E road safety principles of Engineering, Enforcement and Education . With that in mind PLUS will continue to provide best value-added services and facilities to enable an enjoyable and comfortable journey for the users. 



At the same time, Datuk Azman mentioned that PLUS is always on the lookout for potential partnership and collaborations that could to help provide a better user experience while driving road safety through its existing highway patrolling team, PLUSRonda, Traffic Monitoring Centre, periodical road safety audits, continuous engagement and collaborations with the Police and Road Transport Department (RTD). 

To get on-board the Z-ProMiles Takaful coverage, users would first register themselves as a PLUSMiles member via the PLUS App or thru https://pluscare.plus.com.my and opt-in to the Z-ProMiles Takaful plan. The Z-ProMiles Takaful covers certain traffic incidences on PLUS-operated highways as listed below;

1. North-South Expressway (NSE)

2. New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE)

3. Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH)

4. North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) Highway

5. Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing (LINKEDUA)

6. Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE)

7. Penang Bridge

With this being the first collaboration between Zurich and PLUS, both parties are confident in further expending their offerings in the near future.
