The 14th Sepang 1000km (S1K), is set to take place on the 17, 18 and 20 November at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), as the year 2022 draws to an end. The S1K is a yearly affair organised by SIC and supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS) with the sanction from Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).
This year's S1K, would feature the highest entry number since 2019, with 77 cars competing in two different classes: M-Production Class and S-Production Class for production cars under 1600cc. Entrants for this year's S1K would also include entries from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, and many more following two years of travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
The Free Practice for this year will be on Thursday, followed by the Qualifying Sessions on Friday with the race flag-off set to take place at 9:30am on Sunday and end at 6:30pm. The total laps that would be covered for the S1K is 181 laps.
