Drunk Lorry Driver Going Against Traffic Hit Two Cars, Driver Nabbed

A lorry driver was arrested by police yesterday (3 Jan) after colliding with two cars at Kilometer 5.5 of the Linkedua Highway.
The accident happened while the suspect was driving from Kulai to Tanjung Pelepas Port, according to the investigation. "Upon reaching the Gelang Patah Rest and Treatment (R&R) stop heading south, the suspect missed the track to Tanjung Pelepas Port.

"The suspect then drove in the far right lane, colliding with a Mercedes-Benz and a Nissan Almera," he added. He explained that the Mercedes driver suffered neck and leg injuries and was taken to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for further treatment.
The case is now classified under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
