Launched: Updated 2023 MINI Electric – New colour plus glass sunroof added

Besides the refreshed 3 Series range and the introduction of the CE 04 electric scooter, BMW Group Malaysia also saw its MINI sub-brand introduce a lightly refreshed iteration of the MINI Electric model. Key changes present lie in the new colourway it comes dressed in, plus the addition of a new glass sunroof.
Firstly, the refreshed 2023 MINI Electric now comes exclusively with a new ‘Nanuq White’ paint scheme. Apart from this new shade of white, there are no other exterior changes to report. The MINI Electric also continues to feature yellow and black contrasting exterior accents and the striking 17-inch alloy wheels design that set this electric-powered variant apart from its combustion-powered twin.

On board, the 2023MY MINI Electric sees a new addition in the form of a panoramic glass sunroof, thus giving this electric hot-hatch’s cabin a fresh new ambient in the process. Apart from that, the cabin also sees new seat heating feature added as well. Again, apart from this, little else has changed on board, which sees the presence of Carbon Black leatherette finishes and Anthracite headliner.
Also unchanged is the powertrain package, which consists of a single electric motor rated at 184 HP and 270 NM. Juiced by a 28.9 kWh lithium ion battery pack, performance data also appears unchanged, with 0-100 KM/H despatched in 7.3 seconds whilst enroute towards its electronically-governed V-max of 150 KM/H. In terms of range, this also remains unchanged at 232 KM.

The last change of course lies in price. As reported prior, BMW Group Malaysia saw a number of their products experience a price hike – MINI models included. In the case of the refreshed MINI Electric, the 4.1% increment sees it command RM199,164 inclusive of a 4-year extended warranty coverage with road tax exempted.
