LRT Peak Hours Extended Due To Service Disruption - Kinked Rail Tracks

Following up on the disruption of LRT services from Bandaraya LTR to Masjid Jamek LRT station caused by structural damage resulting in an misaligned/kinked rail tracks near the Bandaraya LRT station, Rapid KL the rail operator will extend the morning and evening peak operation hours for the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line LRT and Kuala Lumpur Monorail route starts today, Jan 30, 2023.
The extension of this peak hour is to provide convenience and comfort to all users, and they can plan their journeys in advance to reduce congestion at several rail stations, particularly at the Masjid Jamek LRT interchange station and the Hang Tuah LRT Station.
Morning peak hours would now begin from 6.30 am to 10.30 am compared to the original schedule of 7 am to 9.30 am. While the evening peak hour will be extended from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm compared to the original schedule which is 5 pm to 7.30 pm.

The following are peak hour operations and train frequencies;

The number of free intermediate buses will also be increased with a frequency of 10 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The details of the free intermediate bus service are as below;

In order to facilitate the travel and movement of passengers, Rapid KL will increase the number of support staff to a hundred people in order to control and assist passengers who need assistance at rail stations.
