Rapid KL Ampang Line Facing Hiccups Due To Structural Damage
-full_normal.jpg)
Rapid KL has announced that the Ampang Line LRT is currently experiencing delays due to safety factors caused by kinked track alignment near the LRT Bandaraya station. As of now, preliminary findings all point to structural damage to the flyover in the area which is believed to be caused by construction works at the adjacent area.
Rapid Rail engineers are assessing the situation together with structural experts to ensure the structure is safe and sound. Due to this, Rapid Rail would close the route between Masjid Jamek station and Bandaraya station until the line's stability and safety can be ensured.

Furthermore, the Ampang LRT services will run at reduced speeds which will cause service delays at 9 minute intervals within the Central Business District and 18 minutes outside the Central Business District.
The trains from Putra Heights will stop and turn back at Plaza Rakyat while the trains from Sentul Timur will turn back at Bandaraya station. Rapid KL would provide shuttle bus services between Plaza Rakyat and Masjid Jamek stations.
