Hankook iON Evo EV Tyres Now Available In Malaysia, From RM966.72

It seems the Hankook iON Evo EV and EV SUV tyres range are now available in Malaysia.
Earlier this week, we chanced upon sighting a social media post by Hankook Tire Malaysia announcing the availability of the Korean brand’s new iON Evo tyres range. Whilst the social post itself did not reveal much, we’ve reached out to Hankook Tires Malaysia directly for more information, to which the firm obliged.
Designed especially for EVs and EV SUVs, the new Hankook iON Evo range of tyres promises to deliver uncompromised performance for high performance EVs. It is built with technologies and methods that focuses on tread wear, noise reduction, and unique grip performance for EVs.

The sizing and price list of the Hankook iON Evo tyres in Malaysia shared to us by Hankook Tire Malaysia.
In case you didn’t know, tyres made especially for EVs – as well as EV SUVs – are built differently over regular tyres. Much of this stems from the nature of EVs themselves, namely in weight, performance, and powertrain layouts. Unlike regular combustion cars, EVs and EV SUVs weigh heavier, performs quicker, and doesn’t use traditional driveline setups. This also perhaps explains why they tend to cost significantly more too.
The heavier mass creates greater wear-causing stress, whereas the near-instantaneous power delivery warrants improved traction, steering and braking abilities. Also, rolling resistance needs to be reduced to maximise battery life, whilst the absent powertrain means road noise is far more prevalent, thus necessitating noise-proof tech to improve cabin comfort.

The Hankook iON Evo EV tyres features a special 4-ply construction that promises even treadwear, low rolling resistance, and low noise when primed in EVs.
To that, the iON Evo range of EV and EV SUV tyres all of which with the added bonuses of a 4-ply construction that also promises even treadwear for enhanced mileage, longer range with lower rolling resistance, as well as a lower noise emission to further boost driver and passenger comforts whilst cruising.
For local EV owners, Hankook Tire Malaysia is offering the iON Evo and iON Evo SUV tyres in a variety of sizes and profiles covering 18- to 22-inch wheel sizes. Depending on size and profile, retail prices range between RM966.72 and RM1,626.10 per piece, presumably without installation costs.

Given their retail prices, the Hankook iON Evo EV tyres promises to be a budget-friendly alternative too.
Surely, at said figures, the Hankook iON EV and EV SUV tyres range as featured is set at becoming one budget-friendly alternative over rivalling brands of EV tyres currently on sale in the local market.
Though the firm did not elaborate on purchasing channels, it is understood that the iON Evo tyres range can now be ordered and purchased through authorised Hankook retailers nationwide.
