New JPJ Product Recall Notice – Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Peugeot Among Affected
Malaysian vehicle owners, heads up! The Malaysian Road and Transport Department (JPJ) has published a new product recall notice today. Posted via JPJ’s official Facebook page, this newly-published notice is concerning a few car brands like Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, as well as several brands under the Bermaz Auto Alliance portfolio like Citroen, DS, and Peugeot.

Starting with Mercedes-Benz, more than eight models from the German marque are being recalled, with a total of 2,116 units affected. This includes few all-electric models like the EQS 450+ and EQS 500 4Matic EV saloons, as well as several SUV models like the second-gen GLC 300 4Matic and the previous-gen GLC 200, GLC 300 4Matic, and GLC 300e 4Matic.
Aside from that, several Merc saloon models made from 2021 to 2023 are also affected, such as the C 200, C 300, E 200, E 300, Maybach S 580, as well as the S 580e. Owners of any of these Mercedes-Benz models are advised to visit Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s official recall support webpage.

Next in-line is Nissan, where a total of 84 units of the marque’s sole EV model – the Nissan Leaf – are being recalled. Owners of the Leaf EV manufactured from 2021 to 2022 are advised to contact Nissan Malaysia immediately via its service campaign website.

Aside from Nissan and Mercedes-Benz, Bermaz Auto Alliance has also extended its initial recall notice pertaining to older Citroen and DS models like the C3, C4, DS3, DS4 and DS5. This updated notice includes two Peugeot models – the 208 and 2008 manufactured from 2017 to 2020, where a total of 1,262 units are affected. Owners of any of these models are advised to visit Peugeot Malaysia’s official recall website for further action.

Moreover, JPJ’s latest recall notice also covers one motorcycle model, as well as two truck cab models, with the former pertaining to 15 units of the Honda CBR600R3 and the latter covering the MAN TGS 18.360 4x2 BL SA and TGS 28.440 6x2 BL SA truck cabs.
Any owners of the affected vehicles listed above are strongly advised to contact their respective brands for further action.
