Gentari Rolls Out 18 AC Charging Points At Four Malls In Johor Bahru

Gentari has recently rolled-out 18 new charging points at four locations in Johor Bahru, bringing it closer to its goal of having 400 EV chargers by 2023. Because all four sites are well situated inside of Johor's largest malls, they are the ideal destination charging stations for shoppers driving electric vehicles.
The Perling Mall, situated in Taman Perling, is home to two 11kW AC units and one 22kW AC unit. The chargers would be located at the road side parking on the ground level. This charger is very easily accessible but does not have any shading unfortunately. The charging rate for this location is fixed at RM0.17/min.

The Paradigm Mall, which is situated on Jalan Skudai, would be the second location housing six charging stations—three 7kW and three 22kW AC chargers. These charging stations can be found in the multi-story parking area. Users would be charged RM0.13/min for usage of the 7kW charger and RM0.18/kW for the 22kW units.

Three 11kW AC chargers would be available at the parking area of the third location, Pelangi Leisure Mall on Jalan Tebrau. The charging rate for the AC chargers would be fixed at RM0.17/min.

Meanwhile for the fourth location, Pelangi Plaza in Taman Pelangi there would be six units of the 11kW AC chargers installed where users can charge their EVs at a flat rate of RM0.17/min.

The introduction of this AC charging in Johor Bahru arsenal coincides with the extended Deepavali vacations and the approaching school break, which will result in a spike in interstate travel while aiding the government in achieving its 10,000 charging points by 2025 goals.
