October 2023’s Malaysian Vehicle Sales Saw Significant Increase In Numbers
For the month of October 2023, the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has reported an upsurge in new car sales.
The entity reports that this month's figure, at 74,896 units, represents a 10% increase in Total Industry Volume (TIV) over September 2023's 68,156 units.
As for the Total Industry Production (TIP) volume, it peaked at 74,191 units for October 2023. Much higher than September 2023’s 69,133 units.
The strong TIV growth was primarily in the passenger vehicle segment, which was primarily driven by national brands. MAA forecasts that the sales for November 2023, is likely to be comparable to those in October 2023.
