Launched: BYD Atto 3 Anniversary Limited Edition – Just 500 Units, RM173,800

BYD Sime Darby Motors just announced the availability of the BYD Atto 3 Anniversary Limited Edition special.

BYD Sime Darby Motors is marking its 1st year anniversary through the release of the BYD Atto 3 Anniversary Limited Edition special. Based on the Extended Range variant of the Atto 3, this special comes in either Boulder Grey or Ski White paint options, and all are dressed in an exclusive aerokit.

The latter sees the addition of a front bumper lip, front and rear spoiler, front bumper panels, side mirror covers, rear diffuser, dechromed window panels, side-step panels, as well as C-pillar panels. Notably, all these additions are treated in a gloss black finish.

Based on the Atto 3 Extended Range, this special comes exclusively in either Ski White or Boulder Grey (pictured above) paint options. 

Apart from which, it appears little else has changed. As a refresher, the BYD Atto 3 Extended Range that this special is based on comes primed with a larger 60.5 kWh ‘Blade’ LFP-type battery pack. This juices a front-mounted motor that drives the front wheels with 201 HP and 310 NM.

Said battery accepts both AC charging inputs up to 7 kW and DC fast-charging inputs up to 80 kW, the latter allowing 0-80% recharges in roughly 45 minutes. With a full charge, the BYD Atto 3 Extended Range boasts a claimed maximum range of 420 KM based on the WLTP testing cycle.

This special sees its exterior donned with an exclusive aerokit. The additions for which are all treated in a gloss black finish that easily sets it apart from the regular Atto 3 Extended Range variant it's based upon.

Other key features to note include a full-swing of active driver assist (ADAS) features enabling Level 2 semi-autonomous driving abilities, built-in vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, built-in digital video recorder (DVR or ‘dashcam’), powered tailgate, and more.

Take note, just 500 units of the BYD Atto 3 Anniversary Limited Edition will be available, and each commands a price tag of RM173,800 – RM5,000 more than the Atto 3 Extended Range it underpins. BYD Sime Darby Motors says deliveries for this special are slated to begin early next year (2024).

Additionally, bookings can only be placed exclusively at BYD Sime Darby Motor’s ‘Beyond Dreams Celebration 1st Anniversary’ sales carnival. This event takes place this weekend at the Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena from Friday, Dec 8 until Sunday, Dec 10 from 9AM to 6PM.
