Putrajaya Runs Trial For Trackless Tram service Until Dec 2024

The Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) smart tram, a trackless tram, was tested by Sarawak back in September of last year. Currently, Putrajaya has declared that it will follow suit, announcing that the trial will begin on February 1st in conjunction with Putrajaya Open Day.

The Putrajaya Corporation made the announcement on its Facebook page. The post mentions that until February 4th, when the open day ends, the public will be able to ride the ART smart tram for free as part of the trial. The trial itself is scheduled to run through December 2024.

However, there is no information regarding the Putrajaya ART smart tram's route beyond the four days of free rides. Similarly, no information is provided regarding the nature of the route or whether more than one will exist.

It is noted in the post that the Putrajaya Corporation Complex is its primary stop for those in the public who wish to give it a try. We'll have to wait for additional information from the governing body, which is likely to be provided during that open day.
