Updated 2024 Kia Carnival CKD – Just 3 Variants Now, Priced From RM198,500

The locally assembled (CKD) Kia Carnival line-up has been revised. For its latest 2024 model year guise, just three variants are available - 11-Seater, 8-Seater High, and 7-Seater High.
Bermaz Auto (BAuto), through its Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd arm, have just updated the locally assembled (CKD) fourth-generation Kia Carnival MPV range today. Whilst not the heavily face-lifted version that we saw debut in neighbouring Singapore recently, the news is otherwise very positive.
Firstly, the firm has opted to streamline the line-up, which has now whittled down to just three variants. The range now consist of the commercial sector-focused 2.2D 11-Seater, and the passenger market-focused 2.2D 8-Seater High and higher-specced 2.2D 7-Seater High variants.
With that, it’s easy to see that Dinamikjaya Motors has elected to drop the 2.2D 8-Seater Mid base model that was offered previously. Moreover, prices have been rationalised, and it sees lower and more accessible pricing figures now.

The range starts with the 11-Seater that now commands a base starting price of RM198,500. Next comes the 8-Seater High that’s now tagged from RM245,888 onwards. The range-topping 7-Seater High, which boasts posh second-row ‘Relaxion Seats’, now retails from RM259,888 onwards.
For reference, Dinamikjaya Motors previously retailed the 11-Seater with a base price tag of RM215,228.80, the now discontinued base 8-Seater variant from RM231,228.80, the up-specced 8-Seater High from RM247,228.20, and the range-topping 7-Seater High from RM261,228.20.

Mechanically, all three variants continue to harness the same 2.2-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel lump that outputs 199 HP and 440 NM. Said mill is also paired with an 8-speed automatic box.

Aesthetically, the only changes to note here are the adoption of new 19-inch alloy wheels for the 8- and 7-Seater variants specifically, which are finished in black. As for the cabin, both these variants are now laced with Black and Gray leatherette finishing too. Apart from which, there aren’t any major changes to note as the specification sheets for all three variants remains unchanged from before.


New additions in the 8-Seater High and 7-Seater HIgh variants are black-finished 19-inch alloy wheels for enhanced style, and a newly added Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) for heightened safety.
The revised Carnival continues to offer key premium amenities such as dual sunroof, smart powered sliding doors and powered tailgate, heated and ventilated seats, all-LED forward and rear lighting, as well as a sizeable 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen primed with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As for safety, seven airbags comes as standard across the board, as are ABS, ESC, TCS, Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX childseat anchors, as well as Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC). As for the advanced driving assistance (ADAS) suite, Dinamikjaya Motors notes a newly added Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) on top of what was already available before.
Bookings for all three variants of the revised 2024 Kia Carnival CKD range are now opened through authorised dealerships nationwide. Like before, all prices continue to see Dinamikjaya Motor’s offer of a 5-year or 100,000 KM warranty and free scheduled maintenance package included.
