Viral Karak Highway Road Rage Caught On Dashcam Serves As A Reminder To Always Keep Calm

Screengrabs from the viral video capturing a dramatic road rage incident on the Karak Highway last weekend.
Earlier this week, a road rage incident on the Karak Highway caught on dashcam has gone viral. From the video embedded below, there’s indeed much to say about this incident, but one thing is clear – THIS WAS TOTALLY AVOIDABLE.
Regardless of who’s at fault as the instigator here, the fact that neither drivers elected to keep their egos in check and exercise patience has resulted in a wrecked Proton Waja, a damaged Honda City, injured driver and passengers from the Waja mentioned, and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations ruined for both sides.
Worse still, the incident, which occurred at 10:15 AM on Sunday, April 7 through the KL-bound stretch of the Karak Highway, is now being investigated by police. This could only mean one or both parties could face stiff punishments – either fines, jail time, or both – for their reckless acts.
“Prior to the accident, both cars were reportedly driving recklessly, tailgating, and provoking each other due to dissatisfaction with each other’s driving,” said Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar in a press statement issued yesterday.

Now, said incident is being investigated by police in Bentong, meaning all parties involved will face punishment for their reckless antics. (Source: Facebook)
Zaiham confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Additionally, Zaiham also elected to remind motorists to understand and practice ethical driving to prevent accidents that can claim lives through said statement.
If you are hitting the roads soon to balik kampung, let this serve as a reminder to both us and you, our loyal readers, to ALWAYS KEEP CALM. Don’t also forget to inspect your rides and plan your journey ahead of time – our recent 7-Step guide for this should help too.
