CIMB Partners JuiceUP Offering 15% Off Contactless Charging At EVPower Stations

CIMB has partnered with JuiceUP, a PAIDChain subsidiary, to launch a first-in-market contactless payment solution for charge point operators (CPO) in the electric vehicle (EV) space.
The CIMB-JuiceUP-Visa alliance provides the contactless payment option, making it simple and convenient for EV owners to charge their vehicles with debit or credit cards. This seeks to streamline the payment process and improve the EV charging experience by reducing the hassle of relying entirely on EV apps.

According to Effendy Shahul Hamid, CEO of CIMB Group's Group Consumer and Digital Banking, "Kicking off our partnership with EVPower, we look to welcome more CPOs nationwide to continually enhance and simplify payments, which in turn will provide CIMB customers with dependable and accessible charging solutions with innovative propositions to further promote the adoption of electric vehicles."
Meanwhile, JuiceUP CEO Benson Lim said, "We are delighted to collaborate with CIMB to provide a contactless payment solution for the convenience of EV users. JuiceUP offers a complete EV charging solution, including a Charge Point Management System that allows operators to manage, monitor, onboard, and analyse charger data from numerous locations."
According to Cornelius Ee, CEO of EVPower, "CIMB and EVPower are leading the charge of this movement, offering tangible benefits that make the transition to electric driving more seamless."

As part of the unique relationship, CIMB Credit and Debit Cardholders can now receive up to 15% off charging services at EVPower stations by using their CIMB Cards. This programme seeks to support the growing number of EV users by making charging more economical and accessible via EVPower's Charging Network.
Furthermore, CIMB is giving an exclusive offer to successful EV financing applicants, with qualifying candidates receiving a complimentary EVPower's EV+ Membership, which includes RM300 in charge credits, a 10% extra wallet reload bonus, and discounted idle costs. Customers can also save RM1,500 on a 22-kW Home Wall Charger from EVPower.
