Leapmotor B10 EV Teased Ahead of Paris Motor Show Debut

The Leapmotor B10 is the brand’s upcoming compact EV model that is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show 2024.
Following its takeover by Stellantis earlier this year, Chinese EV marque Leapmotor has been pretty rapid with its international expansion plan, as the brand now showcases several teaser images of its upcoming model, the Leapmotor B10. This compact EV SUV is slated to make its global debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2024, where it will join Leapmotor International’s current EV lineup that comprises both the C10 EV SUV and the T03 EV hatch.
Unlike both the C10 and T03, which were already available in the Chinese market prior to its international market debut, the upcoming B10 is an entirely new model that will make its debut simultaneously with its domestic market. Also unlike both models is the new B platform this compact EV SUV rides on, which promises to bring “advanced technology to an even broader audience.”

Although no detailed specifications were disclosed by the automaker, we can expect the new B10 to arrive in both battery electric (BEV) and range-extender electric (REEV) forms, although the international audience might be limited only to the former. Judging by the teaser images depicting the B10’s off-roading prowess, it is safe to say that this EV SUV will be offered in a dual-motor AWD.
From the design standpoint, there’s nothing much to say since the teaser images only reveal a heavy camo-wrapped example of the B10. One thing’s for sure, the B10 will be slightly smaller than the C10 EV SUV, with reports indicating that it will measure less than 4,500 MM in length. For context, the C10 mid-size EV SUV measures 4,740 MM in length.

As indicated by its international expansion plan, which will see Leapmotor launch several new EVs in three years’ time, the B10 will join Leapmotor’s ever-expanding international product lineup that currently includes both the T03 and C10. Even with the inclusion of the B10, the brand’s overseas product lineup is still pale in comparison to what it offers in the Chinese domestic market, which includes things like the C16 large SUV, the C01 EV saloon, and many more.

Although no tentative price tags were give, the upcoming Leapmotor B10 is slated to be one of the most affordable EV SUVs on sale in Europe.
As we mentioned earlier, the upcoming Leapmotor B10 is slated to make its inaugural global debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2024. Although no price indications were given by either Stellantis or Leapmotor, CarNewsChina reports that this compact EV SUV will be priced somewhere between CNY 100,000 and CNY 150,000 (RM59,00 - RM88,000) for its native Great Wall market.
Should Stellantis manage to price the B10 close to its domestic market’s prices, this compact EV SUV will pose a great challenge to other compact European EV SUVs, although we can expect it to be lower than its more premium Stellantis stablemates, the Peugeot E-2008 and E-3008.
