Launched: MINI Aceman EV – Single SE Variant, RM213,888

The all-new MINI Aceman EV crossover has made its local debut today, featuring a sole SE variant priced at RM213,888.
Following the teaser published via their social media pages, MINI Malaysia has finally unveiled its latest all-electric model, the MINI Aceman. This new compact EV crossover arrives in a sole SE variant for our market, priced at RM213,888 on-the-road.
Just like the Thai-spec model, the Malaysian-bound Aceman SE is powered by the same single, front-mounted e-motor setup used on the new Cooper SE. This setup is capable of outputting 215 HP (160 kW) and 330 NM to allow a decent 0-100 KM/H time of 7.1 seconds and a 170 KM/H V-Max.
And just like the new Cooper SE, the Aceman SE also comes with the Go-Kart driving mode that improves the responsiveness of the car’s accelerator and steering, as well as better traction control for a more exhilarating driving experience.

Power is drawn from a 54.2-kWh battery pack that provides the Aceman SE with a maximum EV range of up to 406 KM, according to the WLTP standards. As for charging, the Aceman SE supports AC charging at 11 kW, while DC charging is capped at 95 kW, which allows a 10-80% charge to be completed in about 30 minutes.
For a better charging experience, the Aceman SE comes with automatic battery preconditioning, while owners can also connect their mobile devices to the car via the MINI app, allowing them to set charging times on top of other usual functions such as the MINI Digital Key Plus and more.

Being a top-spec variant for the model, the Aceman SE is offered in three different colourways, namely Rebel Red, Melting Silver, and Indigo Sunset Blue. Regardless of your colour choice, all Malaysian-spec Aceman SEs will arrive with a blacked-out roof and mirror caps as standard while riding on 19-inch Hexagram Spoke two-tone alloy wheels instead of the 18-inch units offered for the Thai market.

Dimension-wise, the MINI Aceman measures 4,076 MM long, 1,754 MM wide, 1,515 MM tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,606 MM, thus making it slightly smaller than the new MINI Countryman and bigger than the 3-door MINI Cooper. Thanks to its slightly larger dimensions, the Aceman provides some extra practicality over its hatch sibling, including a larger 300-litre boot space that can be expanded to over 1,005 litres, as well as a roomier cabin space featuring a five-seater layout.

On board, the top-spec Aceman SE comes with a host of tech and luxury features that are offered as standard for the Malaysian market. Key highlights include the 9.4-inch rounded OLED infotainment screen powered by the latest MINI OS 9, a MINI head-up display (HUD), powered JCW sport front seats wrapped in Vecsin and Dark Petrol-hued leatherette upholstery, MINI sport steering wheel, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, a wireless charging tray, and many more.
Safety equipment is also quite comprehensive for the new MINI Aceman, as it comes standard with ADAS functions like Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit Info, Front Collision Warning, and many more. On top of that, the Aceman SE also comes standard with the Parking Assistant Plus package, which adds parking aid functions like Active Park Distance Control, Reversing Assist Camera, and Remote 3D View.

Now available for booking, the fully-imported (CBU) MINI Aceman SE is priced at RM213,888 on-the-road sans insurance, and the optional MINI Extended Warranty & Service Package costs RM7,400. Included with said price is MINI Malaysia’s 2-year standard vehicle warranty and a 5-year Roadside Assistance programme, which includes a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year accident hotline, free towing services, replacement vehicles, repatriation services, and many more.
Those who are keen to size up the new Aceman firsthand can visit the MINI Roadshow events that will kick-start at The Exchange TRX from Oct 9 to 13, 2024. Alternatively, the new Aceman will also be available at any of MINI Malaysia’s authorised dealerships nationwide from Oct 8 onwards.
