2024 MG HS SUV Price Announced – 2 Variants, From RM129,900

SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially unveiled the prices for the MG HS SUV, which starts from RM129,900 onwards.
Following its initial preview several weeks ago, SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially unveiled the prices for its second combustion-powered model, the MG HS. For the Malaysian market, this Sino-made SUV starts from RM129,900 for the Standard variant and RM145,900 for the range-topping Lux variant.

In terms of dimensions, the MG HS shares a similar footprint as other C-segment SUVs out there, measuring 4,574 MM long, 1,876 MM wide, 1,664 MM tall, and with a 2,720 MM wheelbase. Some key design features include sharp LED headlights flanking its bold front grille, sporty front and rear bumpers, as well as a sizable boot space measuring 463 litres as standard, which can be expanded to 1,287 litres.
Elsewhere on the exterior, the HS is offered in four exterior colourways, namely Black Pearl, Arctic White, Camden Grey, and Dynamic Red.
Differentiating the two variants are a host of exclusive features and equipment, with the baseline Standard model coming with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.1-inch central infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a single-zone automatic A/C system with dedicated rear vents, and power-adjustable front seats, to name a few.

Meanwhile, the flagship Lux variant comes with bigger 18-inch wheels, red-hued brake callipers, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MG iSMART phone connectivity, a 360-degree camera-view system, sporty front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a six-speaker audio system, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, a dual-zone climate control, and a dedicated ‘Super Sport’ driving mode with paddle shifters.

Regardless of variants, the Malaysian-spec MG HS is based on the first-gen model, where it is exclusively powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol mill rated at 162 PS and 250 NM. Said engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels (FWD).

Not to forget, the MG HS is also brimmed with a slew of active and passive safety features, with the latter including functions like six airbags, while the former comes in the form of the brand’s proprietary MG PILOT ADAS suite. Primed here are ADAS functions such as Front Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assistance (TJA), Lane Departure Warning and Prevention (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Door Opening Warning (DOW), to name a few.

Now available for booking, the 2024 MG HS SUV starts from RM129,900 for the Standard variant and RM145,900 for the range-topping Lux variant. Including with said prices are SAIC Motor Malaysia's comprehensive warranty package of a 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty plus a separate 7-year unlimited mileage for its powertrain unit.
In celebration of MG’s 100th anniversary, SAIC Motor Malaysia is offering an exclusive RM5,000 introductory offer for the MG HS SUV, on top of its standard prices. Those who are keen to size up and test drive the new HS SUV can visit your nearest MG Motor authorised dealer nationwide.
