BMW Malaysia 2025 Lineup Update – 330e, iX 40 Dropped, Prices Increased

BMW Malaysia’s 2025 product lineup update sees several key models being dropped and some price changes taking place.
Besides launching two new models earlier this week, BMW Malaysia has also kick-started the new year by updating its product lineup. For 2025, the Bavarian automaker’s local lineup sees several exclusions of key and obsolete models, plus some pricing updates across all major products.

Starting with the 3 Series, the 330e M Sport plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant is perhaps the biggest absence from BMW Malaysia’s roster for 2025. This locally-assembled (CKD) PHEV saloon was originally debuted back in 2023 alongside its other G20-gen 3 Series LCI (facelift) siblings, which still go on sale for 2025.

Moving on to the G70-gen 7 Series, the sole 750e xDrive M Sport PHEV variant has been dropped this year, leaving the all-electric i7 xDrive60 M Sport as the only 7 Series variant you can buy new in 2025.

Besides the two saloons, BMW Malaysia has also dropped the 1 Series hatchback lineup entirely, which previously came in the sole M135i xDrive guise. Given that the next-gen 1 Series model was already launched globally late last year, we can expect the 1 Series lineup to be replaced sooner or later.
The same case, however, can’t be said for the 8 Series lineup, with the demise of the M850i xDrive Coupe model from our market possibly coinciding with rumours of the coupe 8 Series coming to an end this year, while both the convertible and four-door Gran Coupe version are set to live on.

Moving on to the EVs, the first model to get the axe is the iX1 xDrive30 M Sport, which has been indirectly replaced by its sportier twin, the iX2 xDrive30 M Sport, while the iX1 eDrive20 M Sport is still available as BMW Malaysia’s entry-level EV model.

Also cut off from BMW Malaysia’s 2025 lineup are two iX variants, namely the baseline iX xDrive40 and the top-spec, M-badged iX M60, thus leaving the middling iX xDrive50 Sport as the sole variant of this midsize EV SUV available this year.
Aside from lineup streamlining, BMW Malaysia has also updated the price list for its 2025 models, with the highest increment going up to RM11,000, or RM15,200 if we include the BMW Service Inclusive (BSI) package—which by itself has also increased in prices.

Starting with the 2 Series Gran Coupe, both the 218i M Sport and 218i Final Edition variants have increased in price by RM3,000 (or RM4,100 with BSI). Although the next-gen model (F74) was already unveiled globally, it seems like the F44-gen model is here to stay, at least for now.

As for the 3 Series, the remaining CKD variants, namely the 320i M Sport, 330i M Sport, 330Li M Sport, and the M340i xDrive M Sport Pro, all increased in prices by RM6,000, or RM7,200 with BSRI. The same goes for the 5 Series, with both the locally-assembled 520i and 520i M Sport increased by RM8,000 (RM11,400 with BSI). Not to forget the sole 6 Series variant, the 630i GT M Sport, also increased in price by RM6,000.

BMW Malaysia’s SUV lineup is also not excluded from the price hike, with the baseline X1 sDrive20i xLine increased by RM6,000 (RM8,200 with BSI), while the X4 is up by RM5,000 (RM6,200 with BSI). The midsize duo of the X5 and X6, on the other hand, both increased in prices by RM8,000 (RM9,800 with BSI). Last but not least, both the facelifted X7 variants get the highest increment of all at RM11,000 each, or RM15,200 with BSI.

For its EV lineup, both the i5 eDrive40 M Sport and the i5 M60 XDrive are RM1,000 pricier than before (RM4,200 with BSI), while the i7 xDrive60 M Sport sees a healthier RM7,550 price increment, or RM11,650 with BSI. The aforementioned iX1 eDrive20 M Sport is now RM1,000 more expensive than before, or RM2,600 with BSI.
