Huawei Debuts World’s First Commercial Pilot Of Autonomous Airport Parking

Huawei spearheaded the first commercial pilot of VPD for parking and driving, in collaboration with Shenzhen Highway and Shenzhen Airport. This technology allows the user to quickly head to the terminal after choosing the desired parking spot when they reach the airport parking lot drop-off location.
When the target parking place is occupied, the parking driver VPD will locate a vacant spot and will autonomously cruise and park in the designated spot.
The vehicle can intelligently travel to the parking lot pick-up location when the flight is over thanks to the parking and driving VPD's one-click summoning feature, which can be managed via a mobile app.
The end-to-end technology path emerged as the standard in China's smart driving market in 2024. Nonetheless, the "Parking Spot to Parking Spot" feature is among the most user-friendly methods to highlight the benefits of this technology.
For the record, Huawei was the first to introduce the "Parking Spot to Parking Spot" concept and has consistently led the market in terms of end-to-end technology implementation.
Early in 2024, Huawei launched the nation's first "city-wide NCA" (Navigation Chauffeur Assistance) system for commercial use. In April, the company released end-to-end ADS 3.0, which includes the first-ever "Parking Spot to Parking Spot" function. With the release of the Enjoy S9 in August, ADS 3.0 became the first in mass production, providing a safer and more human-like driving experience.
Now, with the introduction of ADS 3.2, Huawei has enhanced both the "Parking Spot to Parking Spot" and "VPD Parking Valet" capabilities, which are currently being rolled out.
