Proton to Boost e.MAS 7 Production, Hits Six-Month Target in One Month

Proton is set to increase its initial production run of its e.MAS 7 electric vehicle (EV) by an additional 3,000 units to meet overwhelming demand from customers nationwide.
This was evident when Proton announced that the initially limited special launch package for the Proton e.MAS 7 will be extended to an additional 3,000 customers, bringing its total to 6,000 customers.

The automaker’s Deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah recently revealed that Proton had initially targeted 3,000 bookings for the e.MAS 7 within six months. However, this target was exceeded in less than a month, reflecting strong public interest in EVs.
He went on to add, "demand is rising, showcasing the growing acceptance of EVs among Malaysians. I am confident that in the next three to four years, more people will transition to EVs and move away from petrol or diesel vehicles."

According to Roslan, the e.MAS 7 is particularly appealing to individuals keen on the latest automotive technologies. He noted that its pricing is competitive, comparable to Proton's popular X50 and X70 models. "What matters most is the nation's progress towards zero-carbon mobility and sustainability," he added.
The launch package will see the Proton e.MAS 7 receiving a special RM4,000 purchase price rebate, bringing its Peninsular Malaysia prices down from RM109,800 (Prime variant) and RM123,800 (Premium variant) to just RM105,800 and RM119,800 respectively.
Besides the purchase price rebate, all 6,000 launch package customers will also receive a complimentary 7 kW home wallbox charger worth RM1,500, complimentary V2L adaptor worth RM500, up to 5 years of unlimited internet worth RM1,800 and exclusive Proton owner additional trade-in rebate worth RM1,200.
