First Batch of Jetour Dashing SUVs Arrive Ahead of April 9 Launch

Jetour Auto Malaysia revealed earlier today that the first shipment of its highly anticipated Jetour Dashing crossover SUV model has arrived at Port Klang, Malaysia. With this, the firm anticipate deliveries will commence immediately after an official launch on April 9, 2025.

This marks a major milestone for the Chery Holding Group-owned brand and distributors Jetour Auto Malaysia. “The arrival of these vehicles reflects Jetour’s dedication to the Malaysian market and our commitment to delivering an exciting new option for customers,” said Fu Yong, CEO of Jetour Auto Malaysia.

The firm notes that this initial batch of fully imported (CBU) Dashing units were brought in to fulfill strong demands from local Malaysian buyers who are eagerly awaiting their pre-ordered vehicles. As a refresher, the Dashing first debuted at and saw registration of interest (ROI) opened during the Malaysia Auto Show held in May 2024.

Beyond this initial batch of CBU units, Jetour Auto Malaysia is poised to begin local assembly (CKD) operations for the Dashing starting May this year. This was confirmed by the brand earlier this year, with the move reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the Malaysian market and meeting growing demands more efficiently.

To support Jetour Dashing owners, the company has already established over 20 service centres nationwide, with plans to expand further by launching over 10 additional 4S and 3S centres within this year too.

In brief, the Jetour Dashing is positioned as C-segment SUV offering that’s set to directly rival against the likes of the Proton X70, Chery Tiggo 7, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, as well as the Toyota Corolla Cross.

This is evident in its footprint, which sees it sit 4,590 MM long with a respectable 2,720 MM wheelbase, 1,900 MM wide, and 1,685 MM tall. Notably, the Dashing also boasts a sharp, sporty and distinct coupe-inspired design and silhouette.

At launch, the Dashing will feature a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol plus 6-speed DCT automatic powertrain package primed under the hood, with the former boasting 156 HP and 230 NM outputs to drive the front wheels via the latter.

Customers can explore and purchase the Dashing at all authorised Jetour showrooms across Malaysia starting April 2025.
