2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia & eSports Sprint Challenge Concluded at SIC

The triple-header round of the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia concluded last week, as well as the eSports Sprint Challenge.
Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), has celebrated a weekend of motorsport thrills, as the triple-header round of the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) just concluded in conjunction with the final round of the 2025 Porsche eSport Sprint Challenge—both taking place at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) last weekend.

We’ll start with the PCCA, where Rounds 5, 6, and 7 of the 2025 series concluded on a high note, as Dylan Pereira of Team Shanghai Yonda BWT clinched all three race wins during the weekend. The Luxembourg-born racer was dominant in all three races before crossing the finish line of the final race with a time of 41 minutes and 18.144 seconds, ahead of Italian Enzo Trulli and Phantom Global Racing’s Dylan Yap.

Meanwhile, local racing stalwart Nazim Azman, representing Sime Motors Racing, also recorded a positive race result, as he finished fourth at 41 minutes and 42.923 seconds. Unfortunately, luck was not on the side of another local racer, Amer Harris Jefry, as his Z Speed Motorsport's 911 GT3 Cup car was given a “did not start” (DNS) ruling for Round 7.

Besides thrilling action, the Sepang triple-header also witnessed a unique race format taking place this season, with Round 7 being an endurance race, while the first two stuck with the sprint race format.

Happening alongside the PCCA triple-header was the penultimate round of the 2025 Porsche eSports Challenge. Having made its debut in 2024, this eSports series has established itself as one of the virtual racing platforms for aspiring young talents in the field of motorsports.
The 2025 edition of the challenge offered racing enthusiasts as young as 10 years old the opportunity to compete across three age categories — Junior Dreamers (10–14), Young Dreamers (15–17), and Driven Dreamers (18–25). Notably, several competitors from last year’s challenge return to defend their standings, raising the competitive stakes.

The final round saw the top 10 finalists from each age race out for the coveted title. Each category began with a 15-minute free practice and qualifying session, where racers warmed up and set their fastest lap times to determine grid positions. This was then followed by a 20-minute sprint race—their final and ultimate battle for the podium.

In the Driven Dreamers category, siblings Naquib Azlan and Nabil Azlan secured first and second place, respectively, while Zeth Yuen, who competed in the Junior Dreamers category last year, completed the podium at third. Meanwhile, the Young Dreamers category saw Dhevesh Geeva crowned as the victor, followed closely by Ethen Low and Nazyff Zain in second and third place, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Junior Dreamers category saw a nail-biting final battle, where Aydrae Amit emerged champion just ahead of Anson Yong after a neck-and-neck battle to the finish line. Completing the podium in this category was Jonas Tan, who just made his first-ever entry into the competition.

“Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is more than just a race; it's a celebration of motorsport culture and community. Motorsport is in our blood and DNA, and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement back to Sepang,” said Christopher Hunter, CEO of SDAP.
“We’re proud to be able to support local and regional talents in their pursuit of racing excellence—both on track and in the virtual world,” Mr. Hunter added.
