Camouflaged Leapmotor B10 Sighted In Malaysia - Launching Soon?
The partially camouflaged Leapmotor B10 sighted locally by an eagle-eyed member of the MyEVOC FB Group posted online earlier today.

Thanks to eagle-eyed and passionate members of the highly charged MyEVOC Facebook group, they tend to be the first to spot upcoming new electric vehicles (EVs) being trialled early on local Malaysian roads.
One such example came earlier today when a user posted an image showing what appears to be a Leapmotor B10. Despite having just this one single image showing only its rear, not forgetting the fact that this unit wore a partial camouflage, it’s relatively easy to make out its silhouette – it mirrors its larger Leapmotor C10 sibling.
It’s unclear where this spyshot was snapped. Nevertheless, the sight of a locally registered Toyota Vios parked next to it, plus the fact that the unit being sighted in a parking lot facing a popular local motorcycle dealership chain, all confirms this image at being snapped locally in Malaysia indeed.

First batch of China-made Leapmotor B10 CBU units making landfall in neighbouring Thailand last month. Malaysia could see it as a CKD offering instead.

What’s more important is the fact the unit was sighted locally in the first place, perhaps confirming initial speculations that this upstart Chinese EV-maker backed by global giants Stellantis are set to introduce this smaller-sized EV SUV offering into the local market soon enough.
As a refresher, the Leapmotor B10 first bowed globally about a year ago where it’s positioned as a global EV C-SUV offering. It later launched - and sells out - in China back in April this year before being shown locally when Leapmotor announced its local assembly (CKD) plans with Stellantis Malaysia.
The Leapmotor B10 was also launched recently in neighbouring Thailand, and this recent local sighting suggests Malaysia could be next. Certainly, with the impeding expiration of tax incentives for fully imported (CBU) EVs on Dec 31 this year, we’re also willing to bet CKD at the Stellantis plant in Gurun, Kedah is certain to happen.

With that, we’re also certain the Leapmotor B10 for Malaysia would closely mirror what’s offered in the Kingdom just north of our Peninsular’s borders too. As a refresher, the Thai-spec Leapmotor B10 sees three variants in total on offer, albeit as China-made CBU units.
Two battery sizes are offered there, those being a 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh sizes, both being LFP-types and offering up to 470 KM and 560 KM of WLTP-rated range respectively. All share the same rear-mounted e-motor and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setups, albeit with differing states of tune peaking at 218 PS and 240 Nm.
All also share the same ability to draw in both 11 kW AC and 89 kW DC charging inputs, the latter enabling 30-80% re-charge times of just 19 minutes (56.2 kWh) and 20 minutes (61.7 kWh) too. For Thailand, the Leapmotor B10 also rivals directly against the Proton e.MAS 7’s twin – the Geely EX5.
Expect the Leapmotor B10 to do the same when it eventually launches here, perhaps sometime next year (2026). With that in mind, we’re certain there will be a slew of activity set to take place at the aforementioned Stellantis-owned production facility in Gurun, Kedah, over the coming months leading up to which.
