Launched: 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4Matic – RM329,888
The new GLC 200 4Matic variant bowed earlier today at the Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar showroom.

After teasing it last month, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4Matic variant was officially launched earlier today by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM).
Said new variant of the second-gen GLC, which is also locally built (CKD), bowed alongside the new GLE 400e 4Matic With EQ Hybrid Technology at the recently re-launched Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar showroom operated by dealers NZ Wheels.
With its debut, the GLC 200 4Matic now stands as the entry-level offering in the X254-gen GLC range, slotting below the GLC 350e PHEV variant.

Slotting below the electrified GLC 350e plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, the new GLC 200 4Matic guise now stands as the entry-level offering to the X254-gen GLC range locally – something many prospecting buyers have been yearning for.
Though positioned as a ‘base’ offering, the GLC 200 4Matic remains posh and premium thanks to its rather rich specification and kit list, albeit with some minute differences – and omissions – inside and out. Highlights of the latter are few and far between.

This variant is easily denoted by its different all-LED headlights, absent sunroof, and the adoption of a 'standard' audio suite replacing the higher-end Burmester system on board.

Under the hood, you'll find the familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol MHEV mill, albeit with a lower output. Retained though is the 4Matic AWD setup.

Visually, this variant is easily denoted from the outside by its different – read: lower-end – adaptive all-LED headlights and absent sunroof, followed by the adoption of a standard audio setup in place of the higher-end Burmester audio suite on board.
The real difference of course lie under the hood. Powering the GLC 200 4Matic is a familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol mild-hybrid (MHEV) mill as seen in both the discontinued GLC 300 4Matic and GLC 350e 4Matic PHEV variant that followed up from which.
In this base variant, said mill makes do with a lower state of tune, outputting just 204 hp and 320 Nm. Unlike its X253-gen predecessor though, the marque’s 4Matic all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup and slick 9-speed automatic transmission are retained, and they enable 0-100 km/h sprints in just 7.8 secs.

Sporty AMG Line aesthetics are also retained inside and out.Apart from the key differences detailed, the GLC 200 4Matic mirrors its higher-end and electrified GLC 350e stablemate in terms of specifications and amenities. Included here is the sporty AMG Line aesthetics package brimmed inside and out.
Lastly, the other big difference of course lies in price, and this entry-level offering commands an arguably more accessible RM329,888 figure. For reference, the GLC 350e PHEV guise slotted above costs RM69,000 more.
As usual, said price includes MBM’s usual 4-year, unlimited mileage warranty coverage.
