Perodua QV-E Sales Outlets Now Expanded to 34 Locations

Perodua has expanded the number of sales outlets for its QV-E EV to 34 locations from the original 9 outlets.
Following its much-anticipated debut earlier this month, Perodua has now expanded the number of sales outlets that collect bookings for its first EV model, the Perodua QV-E. Originally available in only nine outlets, the list has now expanded to 34 selected locations throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

Perodua President & CEO Dato' Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad
In its official statement, Perodua President & CEO Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said that this outlet expansion is part of P2’s response towards the positive receptions for the QV-E, and the automaker hoped this expansion would give more customers a chance to test drive and register their interests towards this first home-grown EV model.
“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,” Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.

To go with this outlet expansion, the number one national automaker has also included manual booking options for the QV-E in a bid to simplify the booking process for its customers, with the EV only able to be booked via the P-Circle mobile app prior to this.
“Originally, we requested our customers to make their booking through our super-app, P Circle, but some of our customers asked to include the normal option of booking collection,” Dato’ Sri Zainal added.
More importantly, the top national automaker is also looking to simplify the terms and conditions for the QV-E’s battery leasing programme through an infographic explanation.

To recap, the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) is an independent service that is aimed at protecting the customer and the environment, with Perodua charging a RM275 subscription (all-in and final monthly price) fee per month for 108 months (9 years) for QV-E owners. For the monthly payment amount, Perodua has capped the subscription at RM275 in a bid to ensure customers are protected from future price hikes.

Through this service, the battery itself will be wholly maintained by Perodua as part of the package designed to provide peace of mind for QV-E owners, even beyond the 9-year subscription tenure. Additionally, P2 will also provide the administration assistance in transferring the BaaS subscription to a new owner.
For example, if the current owner wishes to sell their QV-E, the Perodua’s Pre-Owned Vehicle Department will de-list the original owner’s name from the subscription programme and register the new owner.

The 108-payment requirement is also transferable, meaning if the current owner has already paid 50 months for the plan, then the new owner only needs to continue the 58 months remaining under the same plan.
Dato’ Sri Zainal further added that the BaaS programme is Perodua’s commitment towards the safety and convenience of Perodua’s customers, while at the same time helping to preserve the environment by taking responsibility for the battery.
