Refreshed 2026 Lexus RZ EV SUV Range Debuts In Japan
Lexus has refreshed its RZ EV SUV range for the 2026 model year in Japan.

Besides adding a hotter new RZ600e F Sport variant, Toyota-owned luxury marque Lexus also revealed a series of updates for the other RZ variants in Japan – specifically the RZ350e Version L, RZ500e Version L and the RZ550e F Sport.
Notably, all benefit with heightened power and efficiency on top of gaining an undisclosed revised charging system. Depending on variant, this also brings revised range figures ranging between 579 KM to 733 KM.
As before, single- and dual-motor options continue to be offered, along with the choice between 75 kWh and 77 kWh battery capacities – both retained from the outgoing version.

RZ500e Version L variant pictured. Visual changes inside and out are rather mild to say the least.

Visually, the F Sport trim remains distinct thanks to sportier design cues. It also shares the same yoke steering design from the RZ600e F Sport detailed prior, replete with a unique steer-by-wire suite devised by Lexus.
For the Japanese market, the refreshed Lexus RZ variants detailed see prices range between ¥7,900,000 (RM204,741) for the base single-motor RZ350e Version L guise and a ceiling of ¥9,500,000 (RM246,207) for the dual-motor equipped RZ550e F Sport.
Additionally, Japanese buyers can opt-in on a “Performance Upgrade Boost + Interactive Manual Drive” package that costs ¥220,000 (RM5,702) extra.

The RZ550e F Sport continue to stand out with their distinct sporty touches. On board, it also shares the same yoke steering plus drive-by-wire system as the hotter RZ600e F Sport.

This brings heightened outputs whilst the latter half – derived from the RX600e F Sport – sees the L-marque bring what it describes as a “more involved driving feel” with simulated manual shifts.
For now, availability outside Japan remains unclear still, but is somewhat expected to occur perhaps later in 2026.

Closer to home, Lexus Malaysia still officially lists the RZ450e for sale on its site solely in Luxury trimline and priced at RM429,888, though we reckon it will be delisted come the new year as the government pulls the plug on tax incentives for fully imported (CBU) EVs.
With that, we also wouldn’t place bets on seeing this this refreshed 2026MY Lexus RZ making landfall locally anytime soon…
