2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Bookings Opened – Est. RM110,000-RM130,000

The 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV is now opened for bookings with a nominal fee of just RM99. It is tentatively priced between RM110,000 and RM130,000.

Having sized it up in the flesh prior, the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV certainly holds a lot of promise. Now, it takes a step closer to its official launch. Earlier today, Proton via its Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET) arm officially opened bookings for said model.
Bookings can now be placed at all authorised Proton e.MAS outlets nationwide for the nominal fee of just RM99. Revealed too were estimated prices, and they range between RM110,000 and RM130,000. Additionally, the e.MAS 7 PHEV will officially launch in Feb 2026 with deliveries to commence immediately after.
Besides that, PRO-NET also announced special early bird perk for the first 5,000 bookings placed - an exclusive RM500 booking fee rebate.

As detailed prior, the visual difference this PHEV has over its BEV twin are subtle to say the least.

Prior to today’s announcement, Proton and PRO-NET had granted local press with early access to the 2026 Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV. Aptly, this is a Proton-badged redux of the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 PHEV that’s currently marketed in China.
Mechanically, all three variants share the same setup that pairs a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol Dedicated Hybrid Engine (DHE), e-motor and battery setup, plus an 11-in-1 Dedicated Hybrid Transmisison (DHT).
Altogether, the setup puts out a combined 193 kW (259 PS) and 262 Nm to drive the front wheels, in turn enabling 0-100 km/h dashes in 8 secs (Prime and Premium) and 8.2 secs (Premium+) whilst enroute towards a capped V-max of 170 km/h.

Like the exterior, much of the PHEV's innards mirror its BEV twin too - digital displays included.
There are two LFP battery capacities available – 18.4 kWh in the Prime and Premium, followed by a larger 29.8 kWh pack in the Premium +. The former yields up to 105 KM of electric-only range, up to 1,000 KM of combined petrol-electric range, and sip as low as 4.3 litres/100 KM – all rated using NEDC standards.
Naturally, the larger capacity pack instead yields slightly longer electric-only range of up to 170 KM, combined petrol-electric range of up to 1,065 KM, though the slightly heavier kerb weight this range-topping variant stand slightly thirstier with its claimed fuel economy rating of 4.4 litres/100 KM.

In terms of charging, all variants accept 6.6 kW AC charging as standard. Both the Prime and Premium will also accept up to 30 kW of DC fast-charging inputs, allowing for 30-80% re-charges in under 20 minutes. The Premium +, on the other hand, doubles that to 60 KW, thus allowing 30-80% re-charges in under 16 minutes instead.
Differing batteries aside, specifications also vary depending on variant. Naturally, the range-topping Premium and Premium+ simply offers more. You can see details for all three below:

So, what do we reckon then? Will this PHEV redux of Malaysia’s best-selling EV C-SUV be your prime choice? Share your thoughts in the comments below...
