2026 Volvo EX60 Debuts This Month, Malaysia Entry Confirmed
Volvo just teased its upcoming EX60 SUV model, which debuts this month on Jan 21.

Though it’s already gearing up to launch the ES90 electric luxury saloon, Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) also took the initiative to ride on the hype stemming from the global teaser for the Swedish marque’s next offering – the 2026 Volvo EX60.
Set to debut later this month on Jan 21, VCM also confirmed plans to introduce the model locally in Malaysia too. The firm however did not disclose a timeline for which, but we reckon this will be detailed at a later stage.
First teased quietly alongside the EX30 in late 2022, the upcoming EX60 model is set to slot in between said smaller EV crossover and its flagship EX90 model – both of which now already on sale locally in Malaysia too, if we might add.
We first got a glimpse of the EX60 in late 2022. Since then, Volvo followed up from the EX90 flagship both the smaller EX30 EV crossover and ES90 EV saloon.

Volvo is touting some serious figures for the EX60, including class-leading max range of 810 KM – in all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration too. “It turns range anxiety into range comfort,” adds the Swedish marque further.
Much of this stems from the fact that the EX60 will underpin the SPA3 platform derived from the EX90, hosting an 800-volt EV architecture and the ability to accept 400 kW DC fast-charging speeds – up to 340 KM of range with 10 minutes of charging is promised.
Need local context to which? VCM says “whether you plan to drive from Johor to Perlis, make a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, or travel from Sabah to Sarawak, the new all-electric Volvo EX60 SUV has your back.”

The EX60 will slot in between the EX30 (top, left) and EX90 (top, right) when it debuts this month. Also debuting in Malaysia this month is the ES90 pictured right above.

Moreover, Volvo adds it will also sweeten things with a 10-year warranty on the EX60’s EV battery pack. For reference, the current norm for most manufacturers see them offer EV battery warranty coverages lasting for an 8-year or 160,000 KM period and length.
Certainly, we’ll know more in less than a fortnight once the 2026 Volvo EX60 debuts in full. Until then, avid Malaysian prospects have the ES90 to look forward to first.
