To support EV adoption, BMW Group Malaysia now has over 2,000 charging points nationwide, including more than 100 at dealerships. In 2025, the company also introduced the All-New Locally Assembled BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro, the first fully-electric BMW produced in Asia-Pacific.
Traditional models performed steadily as well. The BMW 3 Series sold over 1,300 units, with the new 320i Sport reaching nearly 300 units within six months of launch. The BMW 5 Series exceeded 1,240 deliveries, and the BMW X1 sold more than 1,200 units.

MINI’s top-selling model was the Countryman with over 900 units delivered, followed by the All-Electric Aceman SE and MINI Cooper. BMW Motorrad’s Adventure segment rose 30.6%, led by the R 1300 GS Adventure, while urban electric models, including the CE 04, continued to grow.
BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia funded over 4,440 vehicles, with 41% of contracts processed digitally. BMW Motorrad achieved the highest financing penetration in Asia-Pacific at 67.7%.
Customer satisfaction scores remained high, with sales and service ratings ranging from 96 to 98 across BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad.
The company also strengthened its regional presence, exporting over 11,800 vehicles to the Philippines and Thailand. Construction is underway for a new Vehicle Distribution Centre in Selangor, covering 48,000 square meters, scheduled to open in 2027.
Talent development initiatives, such as the BMW NextGT programme, aim to train technicians for the electric vehicle era.
"This continues to be our strength and focus in 2026. As the Ultimate Choice for premium mobility, our ambitions also extend beyond our products and services
“From building the first fully-electric BMW in Asia-Pacific right here in Malaysia, to deepening our partnerships with local institutions to develop the next generation of talent, our commitment is demonstrated through what we build, whom we employ, and how we strengthen Malaysia's leadership in premium mobility
This is backed by over 50 years of proven experience and our vision for Malaysia's mobility future," Nagel added.
