Kelle Energy Brings Mobile EV Charging to Malaysia

Singapore-based clean energy company Kelle Energy has rolled out Malaysia’s first mobile electric vehicle (EV) chargers with built-in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology, giving the country a boost in its EV and clean energy journey.
The chargers combine DC fast charging with smart energy management and BESS, so they can be set up quickly without costly grid upgrades or construction. Each unit can charge several vehicles, making them a flexible and affordable complement to permanent charging stations.
Jason Koh, Kelle Energy’s CEO, said the launch is about more than a product. “It’s about building a smarter, more flexible EV ecosystem,” he said. “With partners like Gotion High-Tech and EV Connection, and Malaysia’s clear push for electrification, mobile EV charging can really support the country’s move to a low-carbon future.”
The technology ties in with national EV goals, including the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2021–2030, and backs the government’s push to expand charging infrastructure across Malaysia.

Unlike traditional chargers, which often need grid upgrades, Kelle Energy’s mobile units can deliver fast DC charging directly to vehicles. This helps ease congestion and makes better use of underused spaces in cities.
The launch also saw two new Memoranda of Understanding. One with Anhui Yijianeng Digital Technology Co Ltd, part of Chinese battery leader Gotion High-Tech, focuses on investment and localising mobile energy and BESS solutions.
The second, with Gotion and local partner EV Connection Sdn Bhd, will roll out mobile EV charging services nationwide, targeting urban areas, commercial sites, and fleet operators.
Gotion, Kelle Energy’s tech partner, has been growing its footprint in Malaysia. Talks are underway with the Johor state government to set up a lithium battery facility, putting Malaysia on the map as a key player in the regional EV and battery supply chain.
