Tesla Malaysia Completes First Vehicle Delivery in East Malaysia

Tesla Malaysia has completed its first official vehicle delivery in East Malaysia at its pop-up experience centre in Kuching.
Tesla Malaysia has announced it recently completed its first official vehicle delivery in Kuching, Sarawak, marking the start of its venture in the East Malaysian region. This comes after the company set up its first pop-up experience centre located in Vivacity Megamall in the Sarawak capital last month.
This expansion to East Malaysia also marks a further growth of Tesla Malaysia’s local network, which now comprises six outlets all located in key areas such as the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, and now Kuching. That said, there are no official Tesla service centres in Sarawak, at least for now.
The same can be said for its charging network, where neither its Superchargers nor Destination Chargers are available in the entire East Malaysian region. The company did say that as of early 2026, it operates 18 Supercharging stations with 76 Superchargers and 17 Destination Charging stations with 79 Destination Chargers.

The expansion comes timely as Tesla Malaysia recently renewed its aggressive campaign in Malaysia, having retained the prices for their fully-imported (CBU) EVs for 2026 despite the CBU EV tax exemption ending last year.

Last month, the company took the local EV market by storm as it introduced the new entry-level variants of its EVs, the Tesla Model Y Premium RWD and Tesla Model 3 Standard RWD. The latter currently retails at just RM147,600, thus making it the most affordable new Tesla model you can officially buy today.
