Heartbreaking Dashcam Footage Reveals Final Moments Before Tragic Collision That Wiped Out 3 Generations Of A Family

A highly anticipated milestone for a young Malaysian family turned into an unimaginable nightmare yesterday afternoon. What was supposed to be a weekend journey defined by the joy of a milestone purchase and a solemn family tradition ended in a horrific crash that wiped out three generations of a single family in an instant.
The vehicle involved, a brand-new Proton X50, had just been purchased and delivered earlier that morning.
A 7-Year-Old Boy’s Final Moments of Pure Excitement

The vehicle belonged to 21-year-old Ahmad Fahim Ahmad Shukri, but was being driven by his older brother, Ahmad Shafiq, 27, at the time of the incident. The family, consisting of seven passengers, were travelling together to Merbok, Kedah, with a deeply meaningful purpose: to visit the grave of their late father-in-law.
Along the way, they made a quick stop at the home of a relative, Ibrahim Ghazali, 39, in Bertam Putra, Penang, to pick up his seven-year-old son, Iskandar Arfan.
A devastated Ibrahim shared a heart-wrenching detail about his son’s final moments. Iskandar Arfan was so incredibly excited about getting to ride in his uncle's brand-new SUV that he quickly finished his meal just so he could run out and jump into the car. Tragically, that innocent excitement would lead to the family's final journey together.
Six Lives Lost in a Fraction of a Second
At approximately 3:45 PM, the joy of the new vehicle was shattered on a straight stretch of road.
Footage from a dashboard camera, which has since been widely shared across Malaysian social media platforms, captured the final, terrifying moments leading up to the disaster. The footage shows the Proton X50 unexpectedly entering the opposite lane while driving along a straight path. Within seconds, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic head-on collision with an oncoming 10-tonne lorry carrying a heavy load of soil.
The impact of the crash was devastatingly fatal. Six of the seven occupants onboard were pronounced dead at the scene by medical officials:
- Ahmad Fahim Ahmad Shukri, 21 (The vehicle owner)
- Ahmad Shafiq Ahmad Shukri, 27 (The driver)
- Iskandar Arfan, 7 (Ibrahim’s son)
- Nora Husin, 55 (Ibrahim’s mother-in-law)
- Jamaliah Sannusi, 27 (A relative)
- An unnamed six-month-old baby
A Lone Survivor Amidst Unfathomable Grief

The sole survivor of the horrific wreckage is a three-year-old girl, who sustained serious injuries during the impact. Emergency responders quickly extracted her from the vehicle and rushed her to the hospital, where she is currently receiving urgent medical treatment.
The sudden and brutal loss of an entire lineage, spanning from a 55-year-old grandmother down to a helpless six-month-old infant, has left the surrounding community and netizens nationwide in a state of absolute shock.
Our deepest thoughts, condolences, and prayers go out to Ibrahim Ghazali and his extended family as they navigate through this unfathomable period of grief and heartbreak.
