2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro Malaysia: Price, Specs, and 5 Things You Need to Know
![]()
BMW Malaysia has officially launched the all-new BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro. Imported as a CBU unit directly from BMW’s state-of-the-art facility in Debrecen, Hungary, this initial release arrives in standard wheelbase (SWB) form rather than the long-wheelbase iX3 L. Offered exclusively in range-topping M Sport Pro trim, the initial allocation of just 50 units sold out almost immediately.
5 Things You Need to Know
1. Massive Range Bump: Up to 805 km WLTP
![]()
The headline figure here is battery density and efficiency. Thanks to BMW’s 6th-Generation eDrive architecture and cylindrical battery cells, usable battery capacity jumps to 108.7 kWh (up from 73.8 kWh in the previous-generation iX3).

According to official figures published on BMW Malaysia, the all-new BMW iX3 50 xDrive delivers an official WLTP electric range rated between 678 km and 805 km on a full charge.
In Malaysia, the range-topping M Sport Pro specification comes standard with massive 22-inch Style 1054 M alloy wheels. Even with these wide, high-grip rollers equipped, the iX3 still comfortably delivers over 700 km of WLTP range, easily outdistancing segment rival like the Tesla Model Y Long Range (691 km) and Zeekr 7X (615 km).
(Note: Real-world driving range will naturally vary depending on driving conditions, climate control usage, and cargo load).
2. First 800V Architecture: 10 to 80% in 21 Minutes

The iX3 is the first production BMW to feature an 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing DC fast charging speeds up to 400 kW.
- DC Fast Charging: 10% to 80% state-of-charge takes just 21 minutes (adding 372 km of range in 10 minutes).
- AC Charging: Includes the upgraded 22 kW onboard charger as standard in Malaysia, completing a full 0–100% charge in approximately 5.5 hours.
3. Radical "Neue Klasse" Cockpit with Panoramic Vision

Step inside and you'll find the physical iDrive controller is officially gone. The minimalist cabin introduces BMW's new Panoramic iDrive concept:
- 43.3-inch Panoramic Vision: A customisable display projected pillar-to-pillar along the base of the windscreen.
- 17.9-inch Central Touchscreen: Powered by BMW Operating System X with revised QuickSelect menus.
- 3D Head-Up Display: Projects key navigation and driving telemetry onto the windshield glass.
- M Sport Steering Wheel: Features hidden-until-lit "Shy Tech" capacitive controls with tactile divots for blind operation.
4. "Heart of Joy" Central Supercomputer & Chassis Tuning

Underneath, the iX3 swaps traditional individual control units for a centralized supercomputer named the Heart of Joy. Operating up to 10 times faster than conventional units, it unifies motor response, regenerative braking, chassis dynamics, and steering inputs.
BMW opted for a single, fixed chassis setup featuring double-joint MacPherson struts up front and a 5-link rear setup with steel springs and passive dampers, delivering an optimized balance of traditional BMW handling precision without needing adaptive damper settings. Furthermore, regenerative braking handles up to 98% of stopping scenarios, aided by a Soft Stop feature for jerk-free bring-to-halt comfort.
5. Heritage Design Meets Interior Comfort

Paying tribute to the iconic 1960s Neue Klasse models, the exterior bridges classic heritage with futuristic aesthetics. Up front, narrow vertical illuminated kidney grilles seamlessly merge with full-width transparent headlight panels.
The Malaysian-spec M Sport Pro trim elevates both visual presence and cabin luxury:
- Exterior & Design Highlights: Iconic Glow illuminated grille contours, flush pop-up door handles, high-gloss black front and rear bumper inserts, and a functional 58-litre front trunk (frunk).
- Interior Comfort & Trim: Ergonomic M Sport power-adjustable front seats with memory and massage functions, upholstered in premium black Veganza faux leather paired with PerformTex suede. The cabin is anchored by a heat-insulated fixed panoramic glass roof and an immersive 13-speaker, 430W Harman Kardon sound system.

The BMW iX3 50 xDrive M Sport Pro is offered in six distinct exterior paint finishes: two all-new shades, Ocean Wave Blue and Polarised Grey, alongside Alpine White, Black Sapphire, M Brooklyn Grey, and Space Silver.
Official pricing in Malaysia starts at RM 378,800.00 on-the-road without insurance (backed by a standard 2-year warranty), rising to RM 399,800.00 when optioned with the prerequisite 5-Year BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package.
Given that this initial CBU allocation was capped at just 50 units, which sold out almost immediately, it stands as one of the most exclusive and highly sought-after EV launches of the year.
