MPKL Puts A Stop To Irresponsible Behavior By Workshop Owner

A local automotive workshop in Taman Banting Baru, Kuala Langat has faced an immediate forced closure, due to unethical behaviors.

Orders for the forced closure were enforced by Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Langat (MPKL) at noon, last week on Friday, following a thorough investigation that was made into the said premise.

MPKL’s director of corporate department and community development Hishamuddin Ismail said, “The premise is always left in a dirty condition and sightings of black oil spillage have been detected in the drainage system.”

Shutting down of the auto shop was a result from the stubbornness and negligence of its owner, who have displayed unethical behaviors in the manner of not keeping up to the cleanliness quota and dumping of used black oil into the drainage system.

Hishamuddin added, “According to that negligence, the owner is found to be guilty of not following the regulations and procedures of the establishment’s licenses and therefore was ordered to shut down his business.”

The automotive workshop is owned by a 40-year-old man, who has been running the business for about three years.

In that time span, other than a bunch of complaints that were made by the community, MPKL have issued a total of 14 warning notices to him regarding the laws his auto shop has been violating.

As of right now, even with the forced closure, none of the issued warning notices have been acknowledged by the auto shop owner whatsoever.

“The premise will remain closed until the owner fixes the problems and abides by all the set regulations by our entity, MPKL,” he further commented.

This particular case was investigated and reviewed under the ‘Udang-Undang Kecil 43(1), Undang-Undang Kecil Pelesenan Tred Perniagaan dan Perindustrian (MDKL) 2007’.
