Electric vehicles are booming in the global market, no doubts about that. But this section is not talking about the body but more of its wheels. Now, you’re probably just purchased your first EV or just happened to land on this article.

Anyhow, if you’re wondering what differences it made to have EV tyres, you’re at the right page.

First thing to notice. The tread patterns.

Ladies and gentlemen, the tread pattern is one of the most noticeable differences between regular tyres and EV tyres. Usually, electric vehicle tyres are designed to minimise rolling resistance which is the amount of force required to keep the tyre moving forward as help to increase the range of your EV.

Up next, the Material. Did you know that EV tyres are frequently made with a special type of rubber that aids in grip and stability, even in wet weather? Well, it’s a vital detail as EVs typically have large batteries that affect how the vehicle handles.

Here’s an interesting fact!

Due to EVs lack of engine, hence they produce almost no noise or virtually silent which keep for the subtle humming of the motor. Design and manufacturing techniques matter as specialised tread patterns and sound-absorbing foam, and rubber compounds are used to keep the ride as quiet as possible.

Despite all its good qualities, there’s a price to pay for it. As we all are aware that EVs are naturally priced, the same thing goes for its tyres.

But given the importance of tyres in ensuring your vehicle's safety and performance, it is worthwhile to invest in a set of high-quality EV tyres. They are also worth their value because they do not wear out easily and last for a longer period.
