Today saw a partnership agreement penned between Ecoride Sdn. Bhd. (ECORIDE) and Urban  Mobility Asia Sdn. Bhd (Moovby) at the IGEM 2022. This partnership is meant to accelerate and support Malaysia’s low carbon mobility agenda.

ECORIDE, being one of the pioneer advocators in green mobility provides an end-to-end solution to help ease the general public's shift from combustion vehicles to EV via support from vehicle leasing upto providing charging solutions. This is made possible through their SHIFT Program with the goal zero carbon environment set on sight.

As for Moovby, think Airbnb then change the listing to automobiles. Moovby is set on helping maximise vehicle usage in Malaysia where 95% of the times most vehicles are actually just left parked. Through the Moovby app, vehicle owners can offer their cars for public rental, be it on hour blocks or by days to earn from those idle vehicles.

“By making EV more accessible through this platform, it will now unleash user  experience in driving electric vehicles contributing to a cleaner environment as mobility contributes one of the largest sources of carbon emission,” said Tuan Syed Ahmad bin  Syed Mustafa, Managing Director of Ecoride Sdn. Bhd.

He further added that “Moovby’s partnership with ECORIDE will accelerate our progress towards our vision  of making cities and communities in Malaysia better place to live through car sharing.

We believe it will accelerate electric vehicle adoption, as consumers are able to access  EVs more easily” said Nik Muhammad Amin, Founder & CEO of Moovby.
