Want to take a close gander at the smart #1? Here are 10 locations that you can visit now.


Having officially launched the smart #1 and delivered them to eager early birds recently, smart Malaysia (PRO-NET) officially announced its nationwide dealership network this week.

Presently, the network totals 10 locations sprawled strategically across Peninsular Malaysia. Whilst some outlets are in their final stages of preparation to welcome customers, the bulk of these locations were officially opened simultaneously last weekend.

Following which, smart Malaysia now welcomes avid Malaysian EV enthusiasts and prospecting buyers alike to view the smart #1 up close by visiting these dealership outlets. Here’s a quick guide on where you can visit immediately.

Northern Corridor

Situated along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (Jalan Kuala Kangsar), the 1,400-square metre smart Ipoh operated by GB Auto is the largest in this network. Besides a six-car showroom space, five service bays, and an independent café, this outlet also features three AC chargers plus a 60 kW DC charger, the latter being opened to the public too.

smart Penang by Eleganz Lifestyle houses Penang's fastest DC charger rated at 120 kW.


Like Ipoh, smart Penang – operated by Eleganz Lifestyle – is a sizeable 1,000-square-metre outlet located just five minutes out of Georgetown along Jalan Jelutong. It houses a four-car display space, five service bays, plus an independent dessert café. Moreover, it also boasts Penang island’s fastest DC charger rated at 120 kW.

smart Alor Setar by Lee Motors.


Whilst on the Northern Corridor still, dealers Lee Motors operates smart Alor Setar located near the base of Alor Setar Tower along said Kedah state capital’s Jalan Istana Kuning. The outlet presently has three smart #1 units on display, a dedicated service bay, as well as a public 25 kW charger, all housed within its 400-metre square space.

Leading dealer Hap Seng smart operates both smart Balakong and smart Kuala Lumpur.

Besides showroom and service areas, both smart Balakong and smart Kuala Lumpur feature charging facilities, but the latter has one of just four 120 kW DC chargers in the brand's network.

Klang Valley

Moving into the Klang Valley, leading dealers Hap Seng smart operates both smart Balakong and smart Kuala Lumpur. The latter is nestled in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre at Menara Hap Seng along Jalan P. Ramlee. Besides a sleek and modern two-car display area, this 700-metre square outlet also houses two service bays plus two public AC chargers.

In contrast, smart Balakong is nestled strategically in the suburbs of south of the Klang Valley. This 800-square metre space sees four smart #1 units on display currently, backed up by three service bays, as well as a trio of AC chargers plus one of only four 120 kW DC chargers within smart Malaysia’s network. It’s worth noting these chargers are opened to public too.

Next comes smart Glenmarie operated by EON Berhad located at the EON Berhad HQ building. Besides a four-car display, this outlet also houses three service bays, and complemented with a pair of public AC chargers on top of a 60 kW DC charging station present on premise.

smart Setia Alam by Wheelcorp EV.


Present in the Shah Alam suburbs of Setia Alam now too is smart Setia Alam operated by Wheelcorp EV. Located along Jalan Setia Murni U13/AH, this 800-square metre outlet also has a four-car display space that’s backed up by three service bays. Moreover, it also houses the third 120 kW DC charger in smart Malaysia’s network, which is also open for public use.

smart Melaka by Sigma Energy EV is yet another location present with one of four 120 kW DC chargers in smart Malaysia's current network.


Southern Corridor

Moving into the Southern Corridor and the historic city-state of Melaka sees the smart Brand represented by Sigma Energy EV. The 800-square metre smart Melaka outlet situated in the Bacang district’s Jalan Tun Fatimah has two smart #1 units on display plus three service bays. Besides a pair of AC chargers, this is also the home of the fourth 120 kW DC charger in smart Malaysia’s network.


Upcoming Outlets

Apart from these operational outlets, smart Malaysia is also gearing up for the opening of both smart Johor Bahru and smart Damansara come Jan 2024. Operated by dealers Motor Future and Smart Mobility respectively, both these 700- and 800-square metre spaces will each house a two-car display, four service bays, two AC chargers, and a 60 kW DC charger once opened.

Until then, keen prospects can visit smart Johor Bahru’s roadshow at Paradigm Mall JB until 25 Jan 2024, as well as smart Damansara’s roadshow at Pavilion Bukit Jalil until 23 Jan 2024.
