Selangor Police Deploys 717 Personnel To Monitor Raya Traffic

Selangor police will deploy 717 personnel, including 71 officers, to manage the expected 1.6 million vehicles entering and leaving the state during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

The state’s police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that during the festivity, 87 motorcycle patrol units and 49 traffic police vehicles would conduct patrols in 18 areas projected to experience traffic congestion.

These areas include the Gombak Toll Plaza, Jalan Klang-Teluk Intan, Jalan Kuala Selangor-Rawang, the Kuala Lumpur-Karak highway, and the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza.

Meanwhile, Pahang state Public Works, Transport, and Health EXCO YB Datuk Razali Kassim anticipates 3.14 million vehicles to enter Pahang during Hari Raya Aidilfitri, with 2.24 million using the KL-Karak Motorway (KLK) and 903,000 using the East Coast Motorway 1 (LPT1). Traffic is expected to peak on Saturday, April 5, with 216,000 vehicles on the KLK and 119,000 vehicles on the LPT1 the following day.
