The all-new Honda WN7 breaks cover in Europe as the brand’s first-ever production electric motorcycle.

Remember the sporty Honda EV Fun electric motorcycle concept unveiled at the Milan Motorcycle Shows (EICMA) last year? Turns out Honda has actually transformed the concept into its first-ever production electric motorcycle, simply known as the Honda WN7.

Unveiled in Europe for the first time, the WN7 name originates from various sources, with the ‘W’ taken from the development e-bike concept of “Be the Wind,” the ‘N’ from “naked,” which explains its bodystyle, while the number ‘7’ refers to its power class.

Speaking of power, Honda did unveil that the WN7 will get an 18 kW liquid-cooled, mid-mounted electric motor setup with a performance matching a typical 600 cc combustion-powered (ICE) motorcycle, even with its 217 kg kerb weight. That said, it also boasts a maximum torque of up to 100 Nm, which is the equivalent of a typical 1,000 cc motorbike.

Juice is provided by a lithium-ion battery pack with an undisclosed capacity that is capable of delivering up to 130 km of range, Honda claims. The Japanese motorcycle brand also said that the WN7 can support CCS2 rapid charging, which translates to a ‘top-up’ charge to be completed in just 30 minutes.

In terms of design, the WN7 looks quite similar to its concept twin, featuring a naked motorcycle bodystyle with design cues derived from some of its combustion siblings, such as the Honda CB750 Hornet. What’s also noticeable is that the bike does not come with the signature Honda ‘Big Wing’ emblem, where it instead adopts a simpler Honda lettering—the same one we’ve seen on many Honda EVs of late.

Other key highlights include a sharp front face with dual LED headlights and a slim LED DRL between them, retro-style handlebar-mounted side mirrors, a single-sided swing arm, a short rear end with a rectangular LED taillight unit, 17-inch alloy rims, Nissin dual front disc brakes, a 5-inch TFT metre cluster with Honda RoadSync connectivity and dedicated EV settings, a keyless push-start ignition and lock system, and many more.

Pre-orders for the all-new Honda WN7 have already commenced in Europe ahead of its first public debut at the upcoming EICMA 2025 in Nov, where we can expect to learn more details about this electric motorcycle, including its pricing and availability beyond the European market.
