A Victory Well Commemorated, The Limited-Edition McLaren Daniel Ricciardo 720S

Earning the McLaren F1 Team its first win since 2012, Daniel Ricciardo’s victory was rejoiced by the automaker with the debut of a special 720S supercar designed exclusively for Australia.

Commissioned by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) in partnership with McLaren dealerships in Melbourne and Sydney, the Daniel Ricciardo Edition 720S is limited to just three vehicles.

McLaren Automotive Ltd.’s commercial executive director, George Biggs remarked, "Daniel Ricciardo's relentless determination and pursuit of excellence are qualities that perfectly reflect the McLaren ethos. Following McLaren's outstanding performance with a landmark one-two finish for the team at the Italian Grand Prix, it's the perfect time to reveal this limited series in celebration of the Aussie driver."

Exterior wise, each model is cloaked in the renowned livery used on the McLaren Formula 1 2021 MCL35M race car that parades the Papaya spark and Burton blue colours.

It also features the Honey Badger's race number on the dihedral doors, carbon fibre sills with Ricciardo's signature, 'One of Three' dedication plates, and the Australian flag on the front haunches.

Interior wise, the seats and the dash get matching orange detailing, and aside from the few colourful elements, the rest of the cabin is mostly unchanged from the original McLaren 720S.

Under the hood lurks the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mill that generates 720 hp of power and 770 Nm of torque, enabling the beast to sprint from 0 to100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.

Pricing for the limited-edition McLaren Daniel Ricciardo 720S is yet to be announced but for reference, the current 720S is offered with a USD 300,000 (RM 1,248,450) price tag.
