MINI has presented the electrified MINI Cooper SE coming off in topless version for the first time during "MINI Takes the States" in the USA.

In Germany, as the largest market for the MINI Cooper SE, almost every third MINI is already electrified and installed more than 250,000 charging points recorded in Europe.

The all-electric MINI Cooper SE is a one-off show and unfortunately not to be put in production line.

Under the hood, the convertible MINI EV has the similar DNA structure and built-in as Cooper SE. On top of that, the Cooper SE convertible has a 32.6 kWh battery pack producing 181 hp and 270 nm of torque.

From zero to 100km/h, it could sprint up to 7.7 seconds and top speed is rated at 150 km/h.  As for driving versatility, MINI offers 3 standard modes to choose from MID, SPORT, and GREEN mode.

In terms of charging, the Mini Cooper SE takes from zero percent to 80 percent within 36 mins using a 50 kW DC Charger. Meanwhile, around 9 hours 43 minutes needed for a 3 kW AC Charger although 2 hours 30 minutes needed while applying an 11 kW AC Charger.

Occupants get to utilize the electronically operable soft top of the MINI EV as it takes 18 seconds to open and close. At the touch of a button, the soft top can be activated when driving up to 30 km/h and allows three settings including as a sunroof.

Designed with four-seater concept and recognized as premium convertible in the small EV segment, there’s an 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay along 5-inch MID and Wireless Phone Charger plus Harmon Kardon Sound System.

With a range of 230 kilometres determined in the WLTP test cycle, open-air excursions in urban environments as well as well beyond the city limits are possible. The MINI Cooper SE Convertible combines open-top driving fun with clever functionality
