Ora Good Cat Previewed At The Official Opening Of Great Wall Motor's Malaysian Office
Great Wall Motor's Ora Good Cat was previewed today in conjunction with the opening of the Chinese automaker's office here.
The retro-styled electric vehicle, which is already on the market in Thailand, will be available in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2022. Following government incentives, the Good Cat is sold in Thailand in three variants ranging in price from RM104,000 to RM130,000.
In our previous post, we talked about power and performance of the car. Apparently, the Tech and Pro variants have a range of 400 km (NEDC standard) thanks to a 47.8-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery that powers a front electric motor rated at 143 PS (141 hp or 105 kW) and 210 Nm of torque. The Ultra receives a larger 63.1-kWh battery for a 500-kilometer range while maintaining the same electric motor.

The cabin can accommodate 5 average adults. The driver is presented with a typical modern instrument cluster housed in a rectangular touch screen that runs the length of the dashboard. The driver receives all necessary information in a clear manner. The two-tone interior is complemented by a chunky multi-function steering wheel.
Initial batches of the Good Cat for Malaysia would be CBU, but they would be locally assembled in Gurun, Kedah, by 2023 in collaboration with Go Auto Group, Great Wall's distributor for Haval SUVs since 2013.
