Chery OMODA 5 SUV Bag Awards in Mexico And Qatar
Chinese automaker Chery stood as one of the biggest winners of late after snagging several awards around the globe.
Amongst the most recent is title of‘ Best Mid-sized Crossover Vehicle’ by Autoshow TV of Mexico, as well as the 2022 Auto Award. Besides that, the OMODA 5 also bagged the Qatar Automobile Association’s ‘Best Science and Technology SUV Award’.
These successes charted by the OMODA 5 in both Mexico and Qatar comes shortly after the model’s other recent accomplishment of achieving a full five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash testing scheme.

According to Chery, future tech and trendy design are at the OMODA 5’s very core, thus allowing it to hold a rather strong appeal amongst young global trendsetters and their desire to be ahead of the curve.
Evidently, these recent accolades from overseas garnered by the OMODA 5 might just be the fuel needed by the brand in its bid to re-enter the Malaysian market this year. Following an extensive SUV-laden preview held late last year, Chery is set to locally assemble (CKD) the bulk of which when it eventually re-launches in the local market sometime this year.
