UMW Toyota Celebrates Record Sales In Q1 2023

UMW Toyota Motor sold 9,136 cars in March 2023, with 9,026 of them being Toyota models and 110 being Lexus models. In terms of quarterly sales, UMW Toyota sold 25,219 vehicles in the first quarter of 2023, the most ever registered for a first quarter. The year-to-date sales figure of 25,219 units in 2023 is 12% higher than the figure of 22,447 units in 2022. Monthly sales were slightly lower in March, with 9,136 vehicles sold versus 9,297 vehicles sold in February 2023.

In March, UMW Toyota Motor introduced the all-new Toyota Vios, a premium evolution of the previous generation. The all-new Vios is only available in two variants, with the Standard E variant costing RM89,600 and the range-topping G variant costing RM95,500. The new Vios is covered by a 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty. "The new and highly anticipated model boasts improved performance, quicker acceleration, and new technology, making it an even more compelling choice for customers looking for a reliable, efficient and affordable car," it said.

Datuk Ravindran K, president of UMW Toyota, stated that the all-new Vios represented the company's commitment to providing the best vehicles and ownership experience to its customers.


"The all-new Toyota Vios is definitely a model that we are proud to put on the road and we hope many Malaysians will be able to enjoy driving the Vios," he said.

UMW Toyota also announced a Ramadan promotion on selected models worth up to RM 8,000, 100% loan financing, and a Toyota service savers promotion with monthly instalments as low as RM22.
