PRO-NET Appoints Five New smart EV Dealers in Malaysia

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) is expanding its new energy vehicle (NEV) venture by appointing five new dealers for the smart EV brand. These new dealer partners are strategically selected from those who have vast experience in handling luxury automotive brands.

The five newly-appointed dealers are Smart Mobility Sdn Bhd (Smart Mobility), GB Auto Sdn Bhd (GB Auto), Eleganz Lifestyle Sdn Bhd (Eleganz Lifestyle), Lee Motors (Alor Star) Sdn Bhd (Lee Motors), and Sigma Energy EV Sdn Bhd (Sigma Energy EV). Together, these new dealer partners will help smart EV brand to become the best luxury EV brand in Malaysia by providing excellent services.

These new dealerships will be based in key locations scattered across the Peninsula Malaysia. To start, Smart Mobility will open its dealership in the heart of Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, joining fellow Klang Valley-based smart dealers like Hap Seng Star and EON.

The northern region will get three new smart dealerships – one in Ipoh, Perak (GB Auto), one in Penang (Eleganz Lifestyle), as well as in Alor Setar, Kedah (Lee Motors). The southern region, on the other hand, for now will get one new smart dealership located in Melaka, handled by Sigma Energy EV.

With these five new dealers already onboard, smart current dealer network now comprises of seven dealerships across the Peninsula Malaysia, with all of them ready to receive smart’s first-ever EV model in Malaysia, the smart #1 EV SUV. In the near future, the firm will further expand its venture in other regions in Malaysia like the East Coast Peninsula region, as well as the East Malaysia region.

All these smart brand centres will incorporate a one-stop EV adoption centre, cordially known as the ‘smart Space’. This one-stop EV centre will be equipped with full sales and service support for smart customers, as well as DC charging facilities that will make up the new smart EV DC charging network across the state.
